Procedure:
1. For each flower, cut six sheets of seven-by-10-inch tissue paper and pink the edges on the long sides. Individually accordion-fold the sheets in 3/4-inch pleats from the shorter sides and arrange them side by side.
2. Twist a pipe cleaner around the middle of the folds and pull down so that it becomes the stem. Fan out the tissue paper so it resembles a carnation.
3. Finish it off by gluing a chocolate kiss to the center.

To Start This Activiity You Need to Do the Following:
1. Get 26 sheets of paper.
2. Have the child write a letter of the alphabet on the top left hand corner of each page.
3. Then have them write the page number at the bottom right hand corner.
Each week have the child add a word to the sheet that the word begins with and every morning have the child read all the words listed. Encourage the child to draw when it is appropriate.
